One of Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ nine brands, Aloft Hotels are select-services hotels with more than 85 locations worldwide. When Starwood decided to add another Aloft Hotel in Greenville, South Carolina, Winford Lindsay Architects were selected to design the new, seven-story hotel and the five-story, 470-space city parking garage beneath it. In turn, Winford Lindsay engaged Fisher Engineering, Inc. (FEI) to provide fire protection engineering and life safety design for the project.
Opened in the fall of 2015, this Aloft location includes 144 rooms and an amenity pool deck in its 90,100 square feet of space. The hotel is adjacent to Laurens Street, Greenville’s first dedicated pedestrian street. The hotel’s lobby exits directly onto the street.
