In what will be the nation’s first tri-branded Marriott hotel, Atlanta-based developer North Point Hospitality Group, Inc. is constructing a new hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, just steps away from the Music City Center. The hotel’s three brands will include a 204-unit AC Hotels by Marriott, a 126-unit Residence Inn by Marriott, and a 125-unit SpringHill Suites by Marriott.
The entire structure will encompass five levels of parking and thirteen levels of hotel rooms. The ground floor of the property will feature 15,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space. Additionally, the hotel will offer 6,000 square feet of 19th-floor meeting and banquet facilities with floor-to-ceiling windows and break-out areas.
Winford Lindsay Architect is providing architecture and engineering services for this project and requested Fisher Engineering, Inc. (FEI) to provide performance-based fire protection system design and construction administration services as part of the design team.
Fire protection systems include a fire pump, a wet pipe sprinkler system, a dry pipe sprinkler system, and a standpipe system. Due to the building’s height, pressure-regulating valves were required for sprinkler and standpipe valves.
